In this section we see what John the Baptist would later proclaim, and it is this, Jesus would increase while he himself decreased. In this chapter of John’s gospel we begin to see this come to pass with the defection of Andrew and Peter and others as they leave John to follow after the Lamb of God.
In this study the apostle Paul wants the reader to see the importance and example of Abraham and how God accounted him righteous because of his faith in God’s promises and before the Law covenant was established many years later.
